I began losing my hair in my twenties.
What followed were years filled with tears, fear, and a deep sense of helplessness. My twenties — and much of my thirties — became a time of hiding, avoiding mirrors, and feeling like no one truly understood what I was going through.
Back then, women’s hair loss wasn’t openly discussed.
There were no honest conversations, no real guidance, and no one who spoke to my experience. I felt alone, unsupported, and unsure of where to turn. Eventually, I reached a turning point. Instead of letting hair loss define me, I chose to face it with honesty, acceptance, and courage. I began to open up about what I was experiencing — and about wearing wigs. That honesty brought me freedom. And that freedom became my strength. In 2003, that strength inspired something bigger:
the creation of Savanna Hair Solutions.
My purpose became clear — to support women and children walking through their own hair loss
journeys with the compassion, understanding, and dignity that I once needed myself. To restore
more than hair... but confidence, comfort, and hope.
